Mgr. art. Šárka Ondrišová, ArtD.

Šárka Ondrišová is artistic director, choreographer and leading personality of the only permanent stage for contemporary dance in Slovakia. "elledanse" since its establishment in 2007 has been operating in reconstructed premises of former slaughter house in Bratislava market place. Its space is run as multiuse non - commercial contemporary art center for dance, movement and physical theatre as well as performing arts.

"elledanse" represents a platform combining professional Theatre, activities of artistic unit titled Company "elledanse", space for rehearsal and activities of elledanse Dance School for children, youth, adults and seniors.
Apart, from theatre and dance choll, the civic association "elledanse" runs theatre performances, festivals, workshops, projects, exhibitions, concerts, projections, discussions, residential stays etc.

"elledanse " Company numbering 14 dancers and staging 2 premiers each year. Apart from permanent Company's staff Mrs. Ondrišova likes to invite leading Slovak dancers , choreographers and other artists. Recent years opened doors to international projects, too.

Over the course of elledanse‘s eight seasons in existence, she has been its choreographer of many successful dance pieces, including: Canto Hondo which won the DOSKY 2008 - the most prestigious Slovak theatrical prize for best performance, best direction and best music, as well as the Slovak Minister of Culture’s prize; project Apple / 2009 /, Silent Snow / 2010/, Tribute to Cows /2010/ which was nominated for DOSKY, than Water for Water / 2011/, 4 MAN /2012/, FROST / 2012/, Long night / 2012/ and Bubbles in the concrete / 2013/ . She is working with the top domestic theatres – the Slovak National Theatre, Studio L+S, the Arena Theatre, Astorka and Nová Scéna. She has created tens of pieces of choreography for musicals, operas and important television shows.

"elledanse" in figures: 18 premiers of Slovak original and roreign authors, guests to 10 europien countries, more than 12 thousand spectators a year, more than 900 events during 8 theatrical seasons, 3 most outstanding theatre awards in Slovakia, more than 600 dance school pupils etc.
